Applying the Ten Commandments to the Election of Government Leaders

Every Word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him" (Proverbs 30:5). Repairing the economical stability of the nation, foreign policy position, and stance on environmental resources as well as their protection are all important considerations for electing a government leader. Those campaigning for leadership roles often share their views with the public. Their viewpoints are simply projections of what a leader may or may not do should they become elected to a position of leadership. View points are not written in stone, can be changed with regularity, and are situational.

ንኣምላኽ ዚበቅዕ ግብሪ [መበል 42 ሰንበት: ቊ.60/፶፰]

“ኣታ ፍቁረይ፡ እቲ ነቶም ኣሕዋትን ኣጋይሽን እትገብሮ ዘለኻ (ዅሉ)፡ ተኣሚንካ ትገብሮ ኣለኻ። እዚኣቶም ብዛዕባ ፍቕርኻ ኣብ ቅድሚ ማሕበር መስኪሮም ኣለዉ። ንኣምላኽ ከም ዚበቅዕ ጌርካ ንመገዶም እንተ ኣፋኖኻዮም ድማ፡ ሰናይ ትገብር ኣለኻ።” 3ዮሃ 5፡6።

ጾምን ጸሎትን ስለ ቤተ ክርስቲያንናን ህዝብናን

ኦርቶዶክሳዊት ቤተ ክርስቲያን ተዋህዶ መንበረ-ጵጵስና ሰሜን ኣሜሪካ ን3 መዓልቲ ጾምን ምህልላን ክግበር ኣዋጅ ንህዝቢ (ህዝቢ ኤርትራ) ብመንፈሳዊ ኣኽብሮት ይሕብር። እዚ ብምኽንያት ጾመ ነነዌ ን3 መዓልቲ ዝግበር ጾምን ምህልላን: ካብ ሰኑይ 22 የካቲት ጀሚሩ ክሳብ 24 የካቲት 2016 (ሰኑይ፣ ሰሉስን ረቡዕን) ክኸውን እዩ።

ጸሎት ቅዱሳን ዓቢ ግደ ኣለዎ

“ኣቱም ኣሕዋትና፡ ምእንታና ጸልዩ።” (1 ተሰ 5፡25)

Why do we celebrate the Cross?

Based on our church tradition on September 27 (Meskerem 17) the church celebrates the consecration of the church of the Honorable Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Cross was uncovered by the lover of God, Queen Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine, from under the pile of Golgotha, after she ordered its removal.

“ንሕና’ ነሕዋት)ና) ነፍቅሮም ስለ ዝዀንና፡ ካብ ሞትሲ ናብ ህይወት ከም እተሳገርና ንፈልጥ (ኢና)። እቲ ዘየፍቅር ግና ኣብ ሞት ይነብር።” 1ዮሃ 3፡14

ካብ እግዚኣብሔር ኣቦናን ካብ ጎይታና ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስን ጸጋን ሰላም ምስ ኵላትና ይኹን። መንበረ ጵጵስና ሃገረ ስብከት ሰሜን ኣሜርካ ብዘውጽኦ መደብ መሠረት፡ መበል 18 ዓመታዊ መንፈሳዊ ጉባኤና ካብ ሓሙስ 28 ክሳብ 31 ሓምለ 2016 (July 28 to July 31, 2016) (ካብ ፳፩ ክሳብ ፳፬ ሓምለ ፳፻፰ ዓ.ም ግእዝ) ኣብ ቤተ ክርስቲያን መድኃኔ-ዓለም ከተማ ሮቸስተር ኒው ዮርክ ክካየድ እዩ።

The way theology is conveyed and studied cannot be separated from life. For many, including professional historians and theologians, the study of theology, particularly in the Academies and Universities, is often perceived and understood

ብግዲ ኽንገሃድ ኢና [መበል 38 ሰንበት: ቊ.50/፶]

“ነፍሲ ወከፍ ነቲ ብስጋኡ (ብህይወት) ከሎ ዝገበሮ፡ ሰናይ ኰነ ወይስ እከይ (ግብሪ) ምእንቲ ኪቕበል ኵላትና ኣብ ቅድሚ መንበር ፍርዲ ክርስቶስ ብግዲ ኽንገሃድ ኢና። ስለ’ዚ ድማ ኣብ ስፍራና እንተ’ሊና ወይስ ኣብ ወጻኢ (ብህይወት እንተ’ሊና ወይስ እንተ ሞትና) ንእኡ ኸነሐጒሶ ንጽዕት ኣለና።” 2ቈረ 5፡9,10

Ordination of 6 deacons

On Sunday, February 16, 2014 His Grace Bishop Youssef laid hands on Yonathan Taddesse Mehari, Joshua Solomon G/Egziabher, Nathan Okbe Zemede, Andrew Gobrial, David Fanous and Andrew Ebrahim as Psalters. Attending the ordination were parents, Coptic and Eritrean faithful including Fr. Youstos Ghaly, priest of St. Mark Coptic Church in New Orleans, LA.
