Eritrea, located along the southwest coast of the Red Sea, was the site of the ancient Christian Kingdom of Axum . Eritrea has been attracted and notable for its architecture, hacing a written culture and maintaining a flourishing trade not only with the Axumite kingdom but also with the Middle East and the Far East as well. For hundreds of years, Eritrea was in control of a large area extending into the Arabian Peninsula across the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden was particularly important.
Patriarch Antonios was born in 1927 in the town of Hemberti, to the north of Asmara in the province of Hamasien.
The Eritrea Orthodox Church of North American Diocese was established in September 2000 by His Holiness Abune Philipos, the 1st Patriarch of the Eritrea Orthodox Church.
Today, the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church Archdiocese in Diaspora comprises of the Diocese of North America, Diocese of Europe, and the Diocese of Middle East. The number of Churches and the faithful has flourished by the numbers in the past decade.
From its beginnings in September 2000 until present day, the diocese has developed slowly but surely under the devoted leadership of its clergy and faithful servants. Using every viable means, the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church Archdiocese in Diaspora has been proclaiming God's good news in according to the Canon Law of our Orthodox Tewahdo Church.
Prior to the establishment of the Diocese of North America and the coming of His Holiness patriarch Philipos, the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church in Diaspora was under the jurisdiction of the Asmara Bishop.

"ደጊም ንንቃሕን ንጠንቀቕን እምበር፡ ከምቶም ካልኦት ኣይንደቅስ።" 1ተሰ 5፡6
እንሆ’ዚ ዕለት’ዚ መበል 10ይ ሰንበት ናይ ዘመነ ክረምት’ዩ። ወርሒ ጳጕሜን መበል ዓሰርተው ሰለስተን ናይ መወዳእታ ወርሕን ናይ ዓመተ-ግእዝ ድማ’ዩ። ወርሒ ጳጕሜን፡ ናይ ዘመነ ክረምት ርእሱ ዝኸኣለ ንኡስ ዘመን’ዩ። ብመሠረት ሥርዓት ቅድስቲ ቤተ ክርስቲያንና፡ ካብ ጳጕሜን 1 ክሳዕ ጳጕሜን 6 ኣብ ዘሎ ቕንያት ዚዝመር መዝሙር ቅዱስ ያሬድ፡ "ከመ እንተ መብረቅ" ዘርእስቱ ዀይኑ፡ ኣብ ማቴ 24፡26-31፣ ማር 13፡24-27፣ ሉቃ 17፡23-24 መሠረት ገይሩ ዝተደርሰ ናይ ምጽኣት መዝሙር’ዩ።
ክንዝክርዶ ክንትርኽ ክንዝቲ፡
ብዛዕባ ኣደ እታ ለባም ሰበይቲ፡
ኽፋእ ዘይብላ ቅንጣብ ሓንቲ፡
ጽያፍ ዘይወጻ ሓላል ብርኽቲ፡
ገዛኣ ዝመጸ ዋላ ፍርቂ ለይቲ፡
ዓመታዊ ጉባኤ መንበረ ጵጵስና ሰሜን ኣሜርካ 2026: ካብ ሓምለ 30 ክሳብ 2 ነሓሰ (July 30- August 2): ኣብ ቤተክርስትያን ቅድስት ማርያም በይ ኤርያ ክካየድ እዩ። ምእመናን ህዝበ ክርስቲያን ናይ ስራሕ ዕረፍትኹምን ናይ መገሻ መደባትኩምን ምሳና ኣብዚ ጉባኤ'ዚ ከተሕልፍዎ ብኣኽብሮት ንዕድም።
