“ንጽባሒቱ ድማ ዮሃንስ ምስ ክልተ ደቀ መዛሙርቱ . . . ደው ኢሉ ነበረ፡ ንኢየሱስ ኪሓልፍ ከሎ ረኣዮ’ሞ፡ ‘እንሆ፡ ገንሸል ኣምላኽ’ በለ። እቶም (ክልተ) ደቀ መዛሙርቱ ኸኣ፡ (መምህሮም) እዚ ኺብል ከሎ ሰሚዖም፡ ንኢየሱስ ሰዓብዎ። ኢየሱስ ከኣ ግልጽ ኢሉ ይስዕብዎ ኸም ዘለዉ ርእዩ፡ ‘እንታይ ትደልዩ ኣለኹም፧” በሎም። ንሳቶም ድማ፡ ‘መምህር፡ ኣበይ’ዩ ሰፈርካ፧’ በልዎ። ኢየሱስ ከኣ፡ “ንዑ ርኣዮ” በሎም። ካብቶም ንዮሃንስ ሰሚዖም ንየሱስ ዝሰዓብዎ ኽልተስ እቲ ሓደ እንድርያስ ሕው ስምኦን ጴጥሮስ እዩ።” ዮሃ 1፡35-39
