A three-day joint clergy conference, under the auspices of their Graces Bishop Mekarios and Bishop Sinoda, took place from September 1st to 3rd, 2023, at Abune Tekle-haymanot Eritrean Orthodox Church in San Antonio, Texas. Several clergy and faithful also participated through Zoom. At this event, both their Graces and other church fathers delivered teachings and lessons.

The Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church is a Biblical, Apostolic, and Patristic Church. Its mission encompasses proclaiming the Gospel (Matt 28.20), fostering spiritual growth through Liturgical worship and sacraments, providing education, and preserving the Tradition of the Church. With a commitment to fulfilling the Great Commission, the Church aims to share the message of our Lord Jesus Christ, serving both its members and the wider community.

Eritrea, located along the southwest coast of the Red Sea, was the site of the ancient Christian Kingdom of Axum. Eritrea has been attracted and notable for its architecture, hacing a written culture and maintaining a flourishing trade not only with the Axumite kingdom but also with the Middle East and the Far East as well. For hundreds of years, Eritrea was in control of a large area extending into the Arabian Peninsula across the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden was particularly important.

We patriotic and loyal Eritreans and Eritrean-Americans of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewhado Church in North America write to express our dismay over the campaign of defamation and false accusations that is being waged against us through the Radio Station known as FM WUST1120.
The Eritrea Orthodox Church of North American Diocese was established in September 2000 by His Holiness Abune Philipos, the 1st Patriarch of the Eritrea Orthodox Church.
Today, the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church Archdiocese in Diaspora comprises of the Diocese of North America, Diocese of Europe, and the Diocese of Middle East. The number of Churches and the faithful has flourished by the numbers in the past decade.
From its beginnings in September 2000 until present day, the diocese has developed slowly but surely under the devoted leadership of its clergy and faithful servants. Using every viable means, the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church Archdiocese in Diaspora has been proclaiming God's good news in according to the Canon Law of our Orthodox Tewahdo Church.
Prior to the establishment of the Diocese of North America and the coming of His Holiness patriarch Philipos, the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church in Diaspora was under the jurisdiction of the Asmara Bishop.
