Resolutions on the Dangerous Developments in the Eritrean Orthodox Church July 30, 2005
The only properly constituted authority we accept is His Holiness Abune Antonios. And this principled stand is based on the Canon of our Church. From this day forward, let it be known that the Dioceses of North America will not acknowledge any directives coming to us without being accompanied by the proper seal and signature of our Patriarch, His Holiness Abune Antonios.
Furthermore, we will not acknowledge any letter signed by Mr. Yoftahe Dimetros. Mr. Yoftahe Dimetros, in our opinion, has taken upon himself the high position he holds in our Church illegally and in utter disregard to the Constitution of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church. More . . .

Why we are standing with our Holy Father Antonios the 3rd Patriarch of Eritrea October 28, 2005
The central pillar of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo religion is the Patriarch. The Patriarch is the president, CEO, and the highest spiritual leader in the church hierarchy. The Synod embraces the Holy Synod title only in the presence of His Holiness (The Patriarch). The highest religious authority of our church is the Holy Synod. The laws and centuries-old traditions of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church validates that the Patriarch must preside and bless all Synod meetings. More . . .
