God's Will and Permission

God's Promise

Question? How can I make God really say His promises to me? What's the key for opening the door to all these beautiful promises? They are helpful but how to gain them?

Answer: God is already saying all these things to you. The Holy Bible, the word of God is not for one person not the other it is for everyone who hears it, listens to it and believes it. Have faith and confidence in the Lord. The key is prayer for in prayers you can hear the voice of the Lord. Prayer is that line of communication, train yourself that as you talk to God in prayers and He listens to you, have some quiet time when you listen to His voice talking to you.

God's Will

Question? I've been asking God for something and I received a very affirmative yes. I asked for a certain sign and received it the same day. Now I find my spirits and desire for the endeavor are not as high as they once were. Part of me even thinks that this is not the way. I am confused. For some reason I do not want to accept this, how will I know?

Answer: We must all try to endeavor to lead a careful life and take consideration of all things putting the Lord Jesus Christ first in our life. If you are following what the Holy Bible teaches us and asking of the Lord to show you the way of a thing then I suggest that you keep your heart with all diligence as the Holy Bible verse instructs us, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life" (Proverbs 4:23).

It is important to remember that with God all things are known and we must rely on Him.

"Putting in mind that hidden things inside the heart are opened unto the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do."

My advice is to keep praying for this issue until you have peace in your heart and consult also with your spiritual father.

Question? If everything comes about according to the will of God, and nothing on the face of the earth happens without His command alone, then why doesn't He prevent evil before it happens?

Answer: Before coming to the reply, let us make note of various errors in your question. It is not correct to say that nothing happens on earth except by God's will, for various wrongs, evils, crimes and injustices take place all too frequently in the world, and how could all these be 'according to the will of God'? That would not be right at all. Could all the killing, the adultery,'-the theft, fraud and lying that goes on in the world, ever be in accordance with God's will?! No, of course not. And does God like all these things to happen?! No, not at all. Therefore your words 'everything comes about according to the will of God', are theologically incorrect, because everything would have to include the bad as well as the good. When bad things take place, it can never be in accordance with God's will, for God never desires what is bad.

God only ever wants what is good. He wants all to be saved, and all to accept the knowledge of the Truth. All the good that happens on earth to people, or by them comes about in accordance with the will of God, but not the evil. So what, then, is the position of evil in relation to God's will? It was God who gave mankind free will. It is God who permits human beings to do as they wish, whether good or bad, otherwise they would be nothing but robots. The good that man does, he does in accordance with God's will, while the bad things that he does, is tolerated by God, but does not meet with His approval. There is a difference between what God wills and what God permits. His will is only ever for what is good. But He tolerates what is not good, because it is the inevitable consequence of that freedom of choice which He has given to some of His creatures.
