    Conference 2003

    August 8, 2003

    Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Psalm 105.1-3.

    May peace of the Lord be yours in full measure. The Eritrean Orthodox Church in the USA & Canada have completed its fifth annual conference under the theme: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land," 2 Chronicles 7:14.

    People from all over the USA, and Canada participated the conference. Abune Kierlos (phonetic) bishop of the Zone debub, Eritrea, and Priest Samuel Zegay, Sunday School leader, both from Eritrea, were honor guests.
    The spirit of the Lord had its way in our midst during the conference. It was really a blessing to see many people young and adult altogether worshiping and praising God.
    We praise God for the wonderful things He has done for us. May glory be to our God who blessed us in such a successful conference;
    We would like to thank the Atlanta Church for making our conference a successful one. We also would like to thank our youth group, our father bishop Kierlos from Eritrea, the priests, and the congregation who came from different places.

    Several other people must also be thanked for the labor of love they devoted to their specific areas for taking so much of the load off of us in keeping the program of the conference running smoothly. We want to thank you all of the delegates who came to the conference, and allowed the Lord to use you to his glory. We thank God for each and every one of you.

    May Glory be to Him for ever. Amen !
